Beachside Stays in Santa Maria

Rainer – the founder of CaboLibre discovered Sal in 2006 – almost 20 years too late as he had already read an article about the secret windsurf paradise in a German windsurf magazine in 1986. It proved to be as good as described and so Rainer chose this island as his second home: the reason was not only the prefect wind and wave conditions but also the wonderful beach in front of Hotel Morabeza. There he also found a run down volleyball court at which some Capeverdian youngsters gathered to play together every afternoon. Since Rainer was a regular player in Germany and enjoyed the games with the locals, he started to bring all the necessary beach volleyball equipment from his home whenever he came there on holidays.
